Jordan Bardella and Kinga Gál to Lead Patriots for Europe Group as Co-Presidents

Strasbourg, 20/10/2026 - The Patriots for Europe Group has reaffirmed its unity and determination to bring common sense back to European politics, electing Jordan Bardella and Kinga Gál as Co-Presidents of the European Parliament’s third-largest political group.

The new leadership marks a renewed commitment to building a stronger patriotic alternative to Brussels’ political establishment and delivering the change European citizen’s demand.

Jordan Bardella, Co-President of the Patriots for Europe Group, stated: “The forthcoming presidential election is crucial for France and the French people. I intend to devote all my energy to ensuring that Marine Le Pen is elected to the Élysée. I have always worked in complete trust with Kinga Gál; the co-presidency arrangement will enable the Patriots for Europe Group to maintain its influence within the European Parliament, working in the interests of all our fellow citizens.”

Kinga Gál, newly elected Co-President, said: “I am honoured by the trust of my colleagues. Our aim is to bring common sense back to European politics and deliver the change our voters so strongly desire.”

The Patriots remain committed to defending national sovereignty, securing Europe’s external borders and bringing back common sense. We demand a fundamental change in EU policies to restore European competitiveness, to repeal the Green Deal’s harmful policies, and to protect jobs. We put our citizens’, our farmers’ and our businesses’ interests first. As the leading opposition to the European Commission, we will continue to challenge Brussels’ centralising ambitions and fight for a Europe that serves its people, not its bureaucracy.
