An Organisation Close to the Muslim Brotherhood Invited to the European Parliament
Brussels, 25/06/2026 - The Patriots Group denounces the appearance of the European Network Against Racism (ENAR) before the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) of the European Parliament. ENAR is an organisation closely linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, which is widely recognized for its extremism and ENAR has previously defended another extremist organisation (Collective Against Islamophobia in France - CCIF) which was already dissolved by French authorities.
The invitation was opposed by a majority of political groups in the European Parliament. Yet, the European Parliament's staff refuses to withdraw the invitation. The hearing in the European Parliament's LIBE committee takes place at a time when further pressure is being put on law enforcement authorities which are accused of "structural racism". The new European Anti-Racism Strategy 2026-2030 should not be used to reinforce political narratives against law enforcement or omitting anti-white racism and anti-Christian discrimination.
The European Parliament must cease providing a platform to Islamist movements and organisations that spread extremist Islamic views.
